premiere Afterparty Activation
For The Amateur’s premiere afterparty, Jekyll Works created a cinematic collapse sequence for an interactive LED activation produced by Stories Illuminated. Inspired by a pivotal rooftop pool scene from the film’s trailer, we developed detailed fracture and fluid simulations designed for playback across a large-format display. These visuals were synchronized to a live trigger system, challenging guests to race across the digital pool before the dramatic collapse.
CAPTURING & CREATING THE COLLAPSE
Inspired by The Amateur’s rooftop pool collapse, we developed a suite of animated sequences to heighten the drama of the interactive LED installation. Built in Cinema 4D, Redshift, and LiquiGen, the visuals combined procedural destruction and fluid simulation to reflect the scene’s sudden violence and vertigo. Deliverables included five distinct collapse variations, a loopable calm state, and success/failure overlays — all rendered in high resolution and formatted for seamless QLab integration during the live event.
